Afterschool Sewing Club

After School Sewing Club: ages 7-12

Kids love to sew and create . In fact, children as young as 7 can learn this valuable lifelong skill. Students will learn the fundamentals of sewing, beginning with the introduction to the sewing machine. Throughout the course they will learn how to thread the sewing machine, properly and safely cut fabric, safely use an iron and use child friendly patterns with a workbook. They will make several projects, each building on skills learned.

Each child works on their projects at their own pace and encouraged to be creative thus building confidence and self-esteem. With a student/teacher ratio of 4:1, there is lots of guidance for each child.

The club is a continuous course September thru May and meets the same day and same time each week with a variety of days and times to choose from.

Cost:

Registration fee: $65.00 (non- refundable) payable at check out

reserves the child's seat and includes workbook and patterns

Monthly class fee: $120.00 + tax per month payable on the first day of each month

payment for monthly fee is payable on the first of each month, in person , by cash, or debit or by e-transferring to : bonnie@littlehartdesigns.com
Fabric and notions (thread, buttons, zippers etc.) are the responsibility of the student. these can be purchased thru the school for your convenience
one sewing machine per person is provided as well as tools and supplies required
Students come to class for one hour every week, (same day and time)

Teens Sewing Club

Teens Sewing Club ages 13-17

Adults Workshop

Adults Workshop - LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR SEWING MACHINE

In this 2.5-hour session you will learn how to operate a sewing machine safely and properly. You will learn how to thread and wind a bobbin, settings for various stitches and their use, changing the needle etc. practice some stitches and make a small project.
Cost: $65.00 +tax (includes materials and machine)

Summer Sewing CampS

Little Hart Designs/Sewing School is offering a variety of themed summer sewing camps for 2023. Sew much fun learning the a life-long skill and build self-confidence in a fun and positive atmosphere.

The camps all have one big project and if time allows they will make smaller items to go with the bigger project.

All supplies, tools, and kits are included in the camp fees. Camps will run Tuesday thru Thursday 9am-11am or 11:15am-1:15pm total of 6 hours with the exception of the quilt camp, it will be 9 hours .

**Fees are due in full at time of registration.

There is a maximum of 5 students to each camp giving more one on one attention to each student.

We will have a Beach theme, Cooking theme, Back to school theme, Reading theme and Spa day theme, Quilt theme and an intermediate Teen camp.

***Any camper that hasn't been in my school is required to take a 2 hour learn to sew workshop prior to joining any other camps.

July Camps

Camp 1 & 2: Beach time

Cost: $220.00 6 hours

Dates: July 11-13th

Time: 9am-11am OR 11:15-1:15pm

Campers will make a Beach Towel Tote Bag.

It is made like a quillow where the towel folds into the tote pouch and has a strap for carrying , when the towel is unfolded the tote part becomes a pocket and they have a usable towel for the beach. Sew Cool.

Intermediate campers will add a zipper to the pocket.

Camp 3: Intermediate Teens Only

Cost: $220.00 6 hours

Crossbody bag & accessories as time allows

Dates: July 18-20th

Times: 9am-11am

This camp is for intermediate teens. you have either taking my classes or you have experience sewing and would like to advance

Cost: $220.00 6 hours

Times: 11:15-1:15pm

Lets make a book pillow with a secret pocket to keep your book in, and accessories if time allows

Camp 5: Quilting Fun

Cost: $335.00 9 hours

Dates: 25-27th

Times: 9am-12pm

Campers will be introduced to the world of quilting by making a lap Rag Quilt.

August Camps

Camp 6 : Beach time

Cost: $220.00 6 hours

Dates: 8-10th

Campers will enjoy making a few projects such as a pillow case, eye mask, and slippers. if time allows we will make scrunchies as well. lots of sewing techniques in this camp

Campers will make an apron with pocket & a few accessories as time allows.

Cost: $220.00 6 hours

In this camp we will be making a Messenger Bag & accessories as time allows, just in time to return to school. Perfect for the chrome book or whatever they need to carry.

Sewing Birthday Party

Looking for a unique way to celebrate your child’s birthday? Host a sewing themed party at Little Hart Designs/Sewing School!!! Each participant will sew a project to take home. What a memorable way to celebrate with their friends.

No experience necessary. They will learn to operate the sewing machine safely and correctly to complete their project. There will be a variety of projects to choose from, the birthday child will choose which project to make. Everything will be cut out and machines threaded and ready to go.

Maximum 6 participate (including the birthday child)

3-hour Party includes:

Private use of the studio
All supplies and equipment to complete the projects
Dedicated Instructor
Party host to take care of their own decorations, set up and clean up

There will be time for pizza and cake if that’s what you choose to bring.

Cost: 300.00 + tax
** $150.00 deposit is required at time of booking

Times available will be on Sundays only. 1-4pm

Cancellation within one month of reservation will loose 75.00 of their deposit. Cancellation within one week will loose full deposit $150.00.
